A tribute to modern day warriors:):):):)

 

I tried ok ….I REALLY TRIED!!! ….But try as I might I just couldn’t summon up THIS!!!!

I tried ‘playing the part’ for a couple of days …then Matt said  ….

‘Mum wassup …your behaving …. like …..kinda weird man’

Then Sam chipped in …..’Yeah Mum …your not being normal’

‘Phew ….Thank god for that!!!’ said I

‘I was trying to find my Mum’

Of course Matt had no idea what I was talking about and just sloped off in his usual manner leaving Sam shaking his head and laughing  …..Hmmmmmmm :D:D:D

ANYWAY …..it’s the ‘alternate weekend’ again…and after all my efforts I was feeling a bit ….well ….you know:D:D

So I stomped off up the hill to get things out of my system today……God I feel to have been up there a lot this past 18 months:D:D …..But anyway …yes ….it felt JUST the ticket ….a BEAUTIFUL day ……enjoying the view from the top I started to feel a bit like THIS!!!

 

Then on getting home caught sight in the mirror of THIS!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!!!……….yep …..even made MYSELF laugh:D:D:D

Thought …God ……there’s that ‘wild beardie look’ going on with blokes at the moment that I mentioned in an earlier post …..maybe it’s spreading ……perhaps I am becoming a female version of THIS!!! …..if it can happen to Brad it can happen to ANYONE:D:D:D

But you know what?  …….when all is said and done …I ACTUALLY quite like her ….in fact I love her to bits ….she’s been great company alternate weekends lately ……in fact I couldn’t have asked for better ….. ok …..she would usually at least have a wash and brush her hair so as not to scare the public ……BUT she’s alright really :):):):):)

Yep …..never mind ‘her Mum’….I think SHE’S actually been ‘lost’ for quite a while ….I guess today she realised she’s been feeling DEEPLY that she’s let herself and the boys down…(one might call it ‘depression’ …that underlying  ‘not good enough’ feeling)……and YEP…. she’s FAR from perfect but who IS? …..she’s a single, working mother with no extended family around  ..in fact NO support really……of COURSE she can’t be a ‘wendy’……and quite frankly ……anyone wanting one would be of no interest to her ANYWAY ………so stick THAT Peterbloodypan and your stupid Neverland I reckon she’s just outgrown you AND ABOUT TIME TOO!! :D:D:D
Ok ……Ok….so I bought some gold eyeliner just in case (see previous post from soul nomads)…..but one should always have SOME kind of pixie dust to hand:D:D….life is often far from easy afterall:)

But you know what I’ve been thinking?……..I think sometimes some people don’t like to see single Mums looking relatively happy … you can often feel ‘judged’ …either as a thing to pity or a slattern who must have brought it all on herself …sometimes even derided like dirt on the shoe …or ALL:D:D:D …..god in some cultures I think we might still actually be stoned:D:D:D

Hmmmmm ……weeeeellllll ….. I long ago came to the conclusion that you can NEVER change some folks opinion…and so be it …..If folk CHOOSE to be judgemental , bitter and wallow in the mire that’s their perogotive …..but don’t try pinning it on anyone else …..SELF exploration and understanding is the key .. ….we’ve ALL got to recognise and chuck out our personal crap if we can ….ditch it …..forgive…..yep others and maybe more importantly OURSELVES ….then turn the page ….hopefully having learnt, grown for the better AND continuing to do so:):):)

HA!!! ….in actual fact …RIGHT NOW I feel the vast majority of single mothers are ACTUALLY more like THIS!!! Not because we want to be …we just HAVE to be:)

Hmmmm …..she’s FAR more cool than waltdisneybloodywendy ANYWAY!!!!

So in the grand scheme of things …who gives a F… if the socks don’t match ….and of COURSE she always seems to be in a rush ….she IS always in a rush ….she juggles so many balls …….and yes …she drops a couple from time to time …but you know what? ….I need to give her a break …..she IS her own worst critic sometimes …..she just needs to keep practicing what she preaches …..and keep sailing on thro ….warrior style:):):):):)

Oh …and another blog has gone awol ….well actually they said goodbye this time and left a Gravatar tattoo so feel ok about this one……lets just say ‘the Raven’ has flown:D:D:D

Adios Raven …will miss your cynical but funny little ditties … maybe buy a bottle of gold eyeliner to stick in your pocket to stamp your forehead if/when the fancy takes you:D:D:D
